Visa Requirements for Nicaragua

At the present time, for Canadian and American passport holders, no visa is required for your journey to Nicaragua. Other nationalities may require a visa. It is your responsibility to verify whether a visa is required for your Nicaragua tour. Visa requirements can change over time. Check with your country’s Consular office or a Nicaraguan consulate for any visa requirements. This will ensure you are prepared for your tour in Nicaragua. Upon your arrival at the Augusto C. Sandino International Airport or at any of Nicaragua’s borders, there is a small charge of $10 US for a tourist card which is valid for 30 - 90 days. There may be a difference between what your tourist card says and what the stamp in your passport says but a tourist Visa is generally valid for 90 days.
