Travel Insurance


Protecting yourself from the unexpected is definitely a wise decision when you travel. Unforeseen events can put a damper on your travel experience.

The Nica Tour Group requires that you have travel medical insurance before departing on any tour offered by the Nica Tour Group. We would also suggest that you purchase trip cancellation insurance, if for whatever reason you need to cancel your tour with the NicaTour Group.

We will ask that you provide us a copy of your insurance details before you begin your tour. We will not be able to offer you the tour if you are unable to provide a copy of your insurance details. We want you to be safe and healthy in order to obtain all the benefits of your tour with us.

Since travel insurance is mandatory, you must have a minimum of $200,000 insurance coverage for medical emergency evacuation and repatriation (or equivalent in other currency). If your pre-existing coverage does not meet these needs, you will be required to purchase travel medical insurance. If you will be staying in Nicaragua beyond the actual travel dates of the tour, either before the beginning of the tour or after the tour has ended, you should purchase insurance that will cover you for the time you are in Nicaragua.

Cancellation insurance is optional but must be purchased either when you purchase your tour – or within 48 hours of purchasing the tour. If, for any unforeseen reasons you have to cancel your trip, cancellation insurance is good to have in case of any situation that forces you to cancel your tour(s).
